Culmination to the summer tournament schedule for our younger members was the Essex Closed Championships held at Thorpe Bay LTC. Anthony Weingarten won the Mens Singles title, and then teamed up with fellow club member, Adam Groves, to win the Mens Doubles event as well. Aaron Hilsum reached the semi finals of the Mens Singles as well as the semi finals of the Mens Doubles with brother Lucas. Aaron and Stefan Protic made it to the semi finals of the Boys 18&U Doubles, whilst Stefan also reached the semi final stage of the Boys 18&U Singles. Jack Wallace was runner up in the Boys 16&U Doubles event, whilst George and Freddy Ward took the Boys 14&U Doubles title. George was also runner up in the Boys 16&U Singles event.
