Success for club members at the Southend & District Winter Individual Tournament finals day! In an all Westcliff Lawn affair, Duncan Taylor & Sarah Ball beat Greg Huggett & Sue Sergeant in a three set tussle to take the Mixed Senior Doubles title. Adam Dugmore had already received a walkover in the Mens Plate Singles final but then won the Mens Plate Doubles final with Liam Gedge in straight sets. Commiserations to Duncan in his second final of the day, this time with Darren Glover – they eventually lost a three set battle in the Mens Senior Doubles event. Sarah Ball partnered Marg Rimmer in the Ladies Senior Doubles final but having levelled the match at one set all, they unfortunately lost the third set championship tiebreak. Well done to all our players!
