A very enjoyable and sunny week at the Penzance Open Tournament for a number of our members who once again made the long journey to Cornwall to play in this annual event. Unfortunately, none of our players made it through to the last day this year. Bad luck to our semi finalists, Rowland Swain & Wendy Bristow in the Mixed Handicap Doubles, John Colman with partner Viv Heale (Penzance) in the Mens 65+ Doubles and Gill Sanderson with partner Martyn Cripps (Penzance) in the Mixed 60+ Doubles. There was a surprise for Steve at the trophy presentation when Tournament Secretary Dave Forrest announced that Steve was the recipient this year of the trophy for Contribution and Support of the Penzance Open Tournament in recognition of his 30 years as Tournament Referee. Congratulations Steve!
