WLTC Junior Player of the Year 2025
John O’Sullivan has been named as our Junior Player of the Year for 2025.
Head Coach Oli had this to say about John…
“John has shown remarkable improvement across every aspect of his game, embracing all feedback from our head coach and applying it with relentless dedication. Tennis is a long pursuit with an ever-moving finish line, and John embodies this mindset—persevering through both immediate gains and longer-term development.
He has stepped up beyond his junior duties, contributing to junior and adult teams, and earning a promotion to Team 4 for the men’s squad. His commitment extends beyond formal sessions: he trains regularly, participates in group sessions, arranges extra hits in his own time, and even practices with his mum on occasion (whether this is to help his Mum or see how many winners one can hit is unknown)—demonstrating both his love for the sport and his work ethic.
John also contributes as a trusted assistant in our Saturday and midweek programs, and his presence—height and all—is hard to miss. His leadership and positive example inspire peers and coaches alike. Congratulations, John. You’ve earned this well-deserved recognition, and you set an outstanding standard for others to follow.”
