Congratulations to our winners on Southend & District Summer Tournament finals day at Southend Lawn Tennis Club. In an all Westcliff Lawn affair, Sarah Ball & Sue Sergeant took the Ladies Senior Doubles title in a close match against Chrissie Christou & Sarah Jolley. Sue won her second title of the day when she partnered Greg Huggett to win the Senior Mixed Doubles final against Sarah Jolley who was partnering Paul Moffat (Rayleigh). Sue had to settle for runners up spot in the Ladies Senior Singles but very well done to Sue for winning two of the three finals she reached! Another all Westcliff Lawn battle saw Tom Reader overcome Adam Dugmore in the Mens Plate Singles final. Tom then secured his second win of the day with Karen Clark in the Mixed Plate Doubles event. A very good day’s tennis and thanks to Steve for organising the tournaments once again.
