A wonderful warm and sunny afternoon for our Winter Handicap Finals! Great to see lots of spectators at the club to watch the three matches played. In the Mens Doubles final, last year’s runners up Duncan Taylor & Ken Poole were victorious this time around beating Alex Simpson & Dan Thrale in three very close sets, the longest match of the afternoon. The Ladies Doubles final was also a hard fought three set match with Karen Clark & Suzy Bassett eventually coming out on top against Linda Gaze & Nicola Hopkins. In the Mixed Doubles final, Alan Knightly & Gill Sanderson won in straight sets against Liam Gedge & Chrissie Christou. Very well done to all players and thanks to club captain Steve for organising the tournaments as efficiently as ever!
