Our Winter Handicap Finals Day took place on 7th March and as usual Steve’s handicapping resulted in some very close contests! The doubles finals all went to three sets with the mixed being decided on a sudden death deuce point at 5 games all in the third set! For the first time, we had singles events as well as doubles. Unfortunately, injury meant that Suzy Bassett couldn’t play so the Ladies Singles was won by Lexie Harris-Griffiths. The Mens Singles title went to Tom Reader who beat Duncan Taylor 6-3, 6-3. Special mention for Tom who went on to win both the Mixed and Mens Doubles finals, setting the bar high for the future with all three handicap titles to his name! Many thanks to Steve for his usual efficient organisation of the tournaments.

Ladies Doubles – Lexie Harris-Griffiths & Matilda Dunley beat Alison Sutcliffe & Angela Goldberg 2-6 6-3 6-3.
Mens Doubles – Tom Reader & Alan Knightly beat Peter Carter & Martin Davis 6-3 5-6 6-3.
Trophies will be presented to all winners at our Presentation Dinner & Dance on Saturday 14th November.
